When you pay by Direct Debit, it costs SAFE nothing and we receive the whole amount.
When you pay with Paypal, they charge both a fixed fee and a percentage of the charge. It also requires more administration on the part of SAFE’s officers to process the payment. Accordingly, a premium has to be charged in order to cover these costs.
For similar reasons, the £5.00 rate is not available via Paypal.
